Technology Recovery Group UK Ltd (TRG UK, we, us, our) is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you visit trgsolutions.uk, contact us, or interact with us in a business context.

This Notice applies if you:

- Apply for a role with us (where applicable)
When we act as a processor
In some service scenarios we process personal data on behalf of a customer under contract. In those cases, the customer is typically the controller and their privacy information will apply to that processing. Where appropriate, rights requests should be directed to the customer.
3. Personal data we collect
A. Data you provide to us
- Identity and contact data: name, job title, employer, business email address, business telephone number, postal address
- Enquiry and communications data: information you submit via forms, email, phone calls or meetings
- Marketing preferences: your consent status and opt-out choices
- Event and webinar data: registration details and attendance, and any information you choose to provide
- Recruitment data (where applicable): CV, work history, interview notes, references (where provided), and right to work information (where required)
B. Data we collect automatically on trgsolutions.uk
- Technical data: IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, language settings
- Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, referral source, approximate location (derived from IP), and similar analytics
- Security and diagnostic data: server logs and error logs used to keep the site reliable and secure
- Cookie and tracking data: cookie identifiers and similar technologies, as described in section 6

- Your employer or colleagues (in a B2B context)
- Partners and event organisers where lawful (for example where you attend a trade show and your details are shared with sponsors)

Special category data
We do not intentionally collect special category data (for example health data). If you choose to provide it (for example accessibility requirements for an event), we will only use it for that purpose and apply appropriate safeguards.
4. How we use your personal data and our lawful bases (EU GDPR)
We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis under EU GDPR.
A. To operate and secure trgsolutions.uk
Purpose: Provide website content and features, maintain availability, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot issues, and secure our systems.
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (operating, maintaining and protecting our website and services).
B. To respond to enquiries and manage communications
Purpose: Respond to your messages, provide requested information, arrange meetings or demonstrations, and manage business communications.
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (running our business and responding to requests) and, where relevant, taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
C. To provide products and services (B2B)
Purpose: Onboarding, account management, service delivery, help desk support, repairs, logistics coordination and service reporting.
Lawful basis: Performance of a contract and legitimate interests (effective delivery and service improvement).
D. To improve the website and understand its usage (analytics)
Purpose: Measure and understand how trgsolutions.uk is used, improve performance, content and user experience.
Lawful basis: Consent where required for non-essential cookies and similar technologies, and legitimate interests where permitted and appropriately configured.
E. Marketing and events (B2B)
Purpose: Send relevant updates, insights and invitations, manage registrations and attendance, and measure engagement where enabled.
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (B2B marketing) and consent where required under ePrivacy rules for tracking technologies. You can opt out at any time.
F. Compliance and legal claims
Purpose: Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, enforce agreements, manage disputes, and maintain records.
Lawful basis: Legal obligation and legitimate interests.
5. Who we share personal data with
We share personal data only where necessary and appropriate, including with:
- Service providers (processors) that support our operations, such as website hosting, security, analytics, email and marketing platforms, customer relationship management systems, and professional advisers
- Partners or subcontractors where required to fulfil a request or deliver contracted services
- Delivery, logistics and repair partners where required to provide services
- Authorities, regulators, courts or law enforcement where required by law or to protect rights and safety
- Group companies where necessary for administration and service delivery, with appropriate safeguards

6. Cookies and similar technologies (Cookiebot)
6.1 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (for example pixels, tags and local storage) may also store or access information on your device. Under ePrivacy rules, non-essential cookies generally require your consent before being set.
6.2 How we manage cookies on trgsolutions.uk

8. Data retention

- Contract and service records: retained for the contract term and any required retention period after that
- Security logs: retained for limited periods unless required for investigation
